Dad suffered from a major stroke (brain stem) overseas and had to be medically evacuated not once but twice. This happened 40 days after Mum passed away suddenly.  One can only imagine how emotionally, physically and mentally drained we were by the time we were at Karen and Dave’s ‘door steps’.

Referred to by one of their own, Joanna, Home Sweet Home Care is who you would want on your side when the going gets tough (and boy, do they get tough).  Dad required 14 hours a day, 7 days a week care – and nothing was ever too hard for Karen and her team.  They helped us nurse Dad from GCS 7 with a tracheo and an NG tube to walking using a frame to eat a full meal at a cafe, from specialised ward to rehab ward to residential aged care facility.

I simply cannot imagine how impossible life would’ve been without them.  The team – especially Ella, Olivia, Sushmita, Ivy and Marella – is compassionate, kind and highly-skilled. I’ve never met a group of people more suited to their calling in life…  Their support has been invaluable, and we are forever grateful.

A side note – we are located on the other side of town to their office in Edgecliff, and this was never an issue for the team.
